It’s been three years now since I drove from Leesburg, Virginia to California and back; then to Rochester, New York for a year then back to my hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana.  Wow… and yes I drove that way all alone.  I remember not listening to the radio and very seldom speaking on the phone because what I have learned about myself is that I am easily distracted.  So for me to drive 10-12 hours a day before stopping and going to a hotel without those luxuries was a necessity ; I could not enjoy those luxuries because honestly I would have ended up somewhere else.
